What Didier Drogba Did In His Home Country Ivory Coast Is So Honourable

Ivorian footballer Didier Drogba has given back to his country by opening a school that will help no fewer than 350 children in the rural cocoa growing community of Pokou-Kouamekro to gain quality education.

Speaking at the launch, Drogba said the foundation began working on the project two years ago. ” I am very proud to see it completed”, he said.

He also told the pupils to make him proud. “The belief of my foundation has always been if we give children access to health and education, we will build future generations of doctors, scientists, businessmen and women and that is how we build a better Africa”.

Now in Accordance, The title is as a result of killings experienced in some part of Nigeria by this Herdsmen.This Herdsmen have been found to be in clashes with Farmers Why? because of the Feeding nature of Cow's on land.
There have been counter allegations, each fraction throwing blames but the ones found guilty are the ones with the killings(Fulani Herdsmen).
This Herdsmen have gone Haywire, They have gone violent thereby engaging in gruesome murder of killings, Killing farmers in gruesome ways and even extended into wider areas.

"They are bound to be a Terrorist group"some say.
"The Government is not doing anything" some said.
and Finally they said "lets not eat meat and mourn". I believe this is a way to  serve punishment to the business of the Herdsmen.


This leaves the Question, Would you Agree not to eat meat sincerely?

Gani Adams begins rites to become Aare Ona Kakanfo

The national coordinator of Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), Otunba Gani Adams, yesterday arrived in Oyo town to begin a three-day traditional rites heralding his installation as the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland.

The OPC leader, who arrived at the ancient town around 5:20p.m. went straight to the residence of the chairman of the Planning Committee, Bishop Ayo Ladigbolu, where some leaders had been waiting for him.

Speaking with journalists before being led to a sacred place where he would be in seclusion to observe the traditional rites for three days, Adams said he was spiritually and mentally prepared for the task.

He said: “There is nothing to worry about, this is not the first I will be performing traditional rites, it’s part of our culture and anybody aspiring to hold any position of authority in Yorubaland must perform it. I won’t miss anything while at the seclusion, I will have more knowledge, understanding and related history about my new position.”

Bishop Ladigbolu while receiving Gani Adams said the rite is necessary because it is part of the steps to be taken for the official coronation. He also hinted that they are fully prepared for the official coronation on Saturday.

He added that the Aare Ona Kakanfo-designate is not expected to see the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, until the coronation say on Saturday.

Panic in Bayelsa town over alleged killing of four soldiers

Fear of reprisal has gripped Ndoro community in Bayelsa State, following the killing of four soldiers and another security personnel.

Fleeing residents of the community lamented that troops and military hardware were being deployed in Ekeremor local council area to hunt for those behind the crime.

Sources said a militant leader called Kareowei and his gang murdered the soldiers during a shoot out in the creeks.

Kareowei was also recently linked with the kidnapping of four Christian missionaries at Enekorogha community in Burutu local council area of Delta State.

The gang was also said to be behind the increased piracy and attacks of firms in the riverine areas.

Their exploits include last year’s attacks in Ogbobagbene, in which a soldier was killed and a general-purpose machine gun carted away.

The kidnap kingpin is also believed to have masterminded the abduction in October 2017 of Madam Ekpongbolo Preyor.

The abducted woman is the mother of a lawmaker representing Bomadi Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Kenneth Oboro Preyor.

The Commander of the Joint Task Force (JTF) in Bomadi Division, Capt. Jimoh Abdul, declined to speak about the tensed situation in the area.

He said: “I’m in a very difficult terrain right now. Call 222 Battalion if you want any information. Or call the task force units for details. I do not have the authority to speak on anything right now.”

But the Pere of Akugbene-Mein Kingdom, Pere Kalanama Viii, cautioned the military to carryout their operation with professionalism.

While condemning the killing of the soldiers, he appealed to them not to harm innocent people. The Delta State Chairman, Phase 2 of the Amnesty Programme, Kingsley Muturu, also condemned the killings.

“We want peace to reign to allow development to take place in the Niger Delta region,” he said. Meanwhile, a group in Warri North Local Council has condemned alleged military invasion in Egbema kingdom.

The group, called Concerned Citizens of Polobubou (Tsekelewu) Communities (CCPC) said they would not succumb to intimidation under any guise.
